Simon Cowell Not Welcome At The Oscars

Simon Cowell - X Factor

X Factor judge Simon Cowell has admitted that he was not welcome at last night’s Oscar ceremony in Hollywood. Cowell feels that the movie industry looks down upon TV actors and producers, a point of view that was recently backed up by the gorgeous George Clooney.

Simon told The Mirror: “They think I’m the anti-christ. They don’t like us TV people to be part of it - it’s ridiculous. It reeks of snobbery.

“I have nothing to do with the Oscars - and nor do I want to. I’ll only go if someone has invited me.”

He added: “I hate the whole movie industry. It’s so stuck up I can’t bear it.”

However Simon’s girlfriend Terri Seymour is not so umwelcome and spent her night last night on the red carpet interviewing many of Hollywood’s elite.

Simon remarked:

“Terri’s on the red carpet this year doing interviews - I’m so proud of her and her career.

“She used to have 10 interviews a year, now she’s doing four a day and it’s all off her own back. She’ll have a great time but there’s no way she’ll be interviewing me!”

Could you imagine the comments made on his dress fashion. Anyway the Oscars do not deserve our Simon Cowell.

On this score Simon has sadly got it right. The film club as I call it is extremely secret and private, entrance is by invitation only. The same could be said of the British movie industry and yes there has sadly always been a divide between TV and film.

It’s ironic that TV as a media form of entertainment is used prolifically as a means of entry into the difficult and competitive world of showbiz yet the first house of showbiz is a closed shop.
