Simon Cowell is a known workaholic and it seems that even a new baby isn’t going to keep him from his job.
The X Factor boss has returned to his schedule of meetings and negotiations and he’s inducting his new son into the business early!
Cowell’s first child was born two weeks prematurely on Valentines Day and as a result, the new dad had a spate of commitments for this week that he just couldn’t cancel.
So it’s been reported that the music mogul did the next best thing and met with TV execs and his record label colleagues but asked girlfriend Lauren Silverman to bring little Eric along too.
The Sun reports that the doting dad was keen to show off his young heir and had his new family near at hand, at all times.
Cowell will start his paternity leave this week but fans shouldn’t expect him to cut down on his workload long term.
A source told the newspaper that the Britain’s Got Talent star is still a ‘workaholic’, adding:
“He loves Eric to bits but if an exciting idea comes up, he will want to be all over it like a rash.”
Meanwhile, Cowell couldn’t be at The Brit Awards last night but he was watching via Youtube and was delighted when One Direction picked themselves up two awards.
The lads lifted the gong for Global Success and later added the award for Best Video to their collection.
They may have been a little drunk and disorderly when making their speeches, but their boss was slightly more composed when he tweeted:
“Congratulations One D! Global success of the year. So happy for you.”
“A huge thank you to everyone who helped them achieve this. The greatest fans.”
Thank you everyone for voting for best video. It is a brilliant video. Congrats to the boys and Ben who made it.

We can’t help but wonder what he made of Jimmy Carr’s insults for James Arthur and Liam Payne’s obvious glee over the slights.
