The Mirror has revelaed that Simon Cowell is has been involved in secret talks for the last year to make The X Factor European!

What Simon intends is that each country would host their own X Factor style show with the winner of each advancing to compete in an all European final.

An insider said yesterday: “To use a football analogy, we are currently the Premiership and it would be the European Champions League. All countries would compete in their competitions at the same time.

“Then all the winners would fight it out to become champions of Europe. It would be like the Eurovision Song Contest – but with good singers. This would be the biggest prize in TV history and 100 million would watch the final.”
