Simon Cowell tells Cheryl Cole her new single Call My Name is “going to be a big hit”
It’s a friendship that’s on and off more often than a… onny offy thing, and a new report on omg! states that within hours of Cheryl Cole declaring her anger at what Simon Cowell had reportedly told biographer Tom Bower about her flirting with him, Simon has tweeted that he loves her new single, Call My Name.
On his Twitter page, Simon posted, “I heard the new @CherylCole single today. I.Love.It. It’s going to be a big hit.”
Cheryl chirpily replied, “SayMyName Baby *raspberry*lol RT @SimonCowell”
There has of course been a lot of tension between Simon and Cheryl ever since she was rather unceremoniously dumped from The X Factor USA and replaced with Nicole Scherzinger…
Soon after she arrived back in the UK, quietly fuming, she was – reportedly – asked back to the judging bench of the British version of the show, which was an offer she turned down using two words, one of which was ‘off.’
And of late, it’s been rumoured that she is to debut her aforementioned new single on The Voice, where of course her manager, Will.i.am is a coach…
And Will’s had a fair few digs at Simon over the course of the last year too, even declaring that he’d never watched The X Factor, even when BFF Chezzer was a judge.
The fact that he and the rest of the Black Eyed Peas performed live, doesn’t, one assumes, fall into the realms of “watching” the show.
Will Cheryl and Simon ever be able to really patch things up? Well, I kinda hope not, because their to and fro bitching is quite good fun really…
