Simon Cowell has reportedly decided to sign X Factor runner up Olly Murs to his record label.

Simon had previously said that only the winner could be guaranteed a record deal, but was said to be so impressed by Olly’s duet with Robbie Williams, that he has decided to sign him as well as Joe McElderry.

A show source told The Sun: “Olly really impressed Simon because he is an all-round entertainer. Simon thinks he’s just like Robbie Williams. Women love him.”

Simon is still hedging his bets though. He is planning on waiting to spring and gauging how well Olly’s first single sells, before offering him a full album deal.
