Simon Cowell has revealed that he is trying to land the mother of all guest stars, the President Of The United States Of America.

The American Idol judge hopes to make a feel good TV show which would help the disadvantaged and under-privileged and thinks if he could get President Barack Obama it would be a sure fire hit.

Cowell, 49, told GMTV: “We’re really trying to get him involved in a show at the moment – which would be a big coup for us.

“We’ve made a submission to the White House. We’ll see whether or not if he’s interested in doing it.”

Cowell’s spokesman Max Clifford said: “I am sworn to secrecy but if it comes off it will be phenomenal.”
