Simon Cowell has admitted that this years batch of X Factor singers has no big belters. However he thinks they will receive a lot of support all the same.

Speaking at an event in London in which his younger brother Nicholas helped launch an online backup service called Livedrive, Simon said:

“I’ve got to put them in the studio yet. I’m happy with them but they’re different. They’re not like these big belting artists.”

He added: “They’re going to get a lot of support whatever happens.”

Mr Cowell also confirmed that he has not yet chosen the winner’s single. He’d want to get onto that pretty soon. Does he realise that he only has a week before it needs to be recorded?
