Reports are suggesting Simon Cowell will be quitting X Factor after the upcoming series.

The show returns in August and audition filming is already underway.

Cowell’s contract with ITV ends in December and The Mirror are claiming that Simon will take this opportunity to step down.

A source says: “He has found X Factor increasingly draining and it leaves him little time for serious business.”

“Now he’s decided this will be his last series and he’s moving on. In future, he will have a more overseeing role.”
