Viewers of tonight’s X Factor on ITV1 will see Simon Cowell’s biggest fan, Toshiko, arrive at the Birmingham auditions, having travelled all the way from Japan to meet the music moghul.

Toshiko gave a pretty awful rendition of ‘My Way’, and then told Cowell: “I like you very much Simon, I came here just to meet you, you are very big in Tokyo.”

Cowell gave Toshika a hug and a kiss, then told her: “That was a very quiet audition but very sweet voice and you’re very cute, I may have to take you home”.

The episode will be shown on Saturday 1 September at 7.50pm on ITV1.
