Simon Cowell’s mum has reportedly demanded that he and his fiancé Mezhgan Hussainy name their wedding date asap.

The matriarch is said to be planning a trip to LA this week, when she intends to ask the X Factor boss to fill her in on their wedding plans.

A source close to Julie Cowell said: “Like all mums she wants to know the date so she can buy her big hat.

“She feels out of the loop. Julie adores Mezhgan but doesn’t have a clue what Simon is planning.”

We find ourselves wondering whether Mrs Cowell read the recent articles claiming that the whole engagement is one big PR stunt and saw her chance of Grandchildren slipping away…..
