On tomorrow night’s X factor show is Steve McNally who has tasted stardom and is back for more. An ex member of Liverpool threesome BB Mak, the group toured the world and had huge success in the States, supporting N*Sync and Britney Spears but the band split five years ago. Steve says, “I’m really proud of it but that was then and this is now.” Since the break up, Steve’s life has changed. “I’ve got a son now who is two weeks old.” As a good luck charm, Steve’s wife gave him a sock belonging to their newborn before he left for his audition! Steve would love one last chance at fame. “If I got another chance at doing again on a bigger scale like the BB Mak days I’d take it with both hands.”

Inside the judging room, Louis asks Steve “do I know you from somewhere?” Steve tells Louis he was in a band a few years ago called BB Mak but they had split up. “We went as far as we could.” I want to give it a go as a solo artist.”

Singing Stevie Wonder’s Isn’t She Lovely, Steve waits apprehensively for the judges comments. Simon understands why he might be nervous. “I can understand why you are nervous, when you’ve had a recording contract success in America and then you’re back in the audition room, its tough. I think its tougher for somebody like you than it is for someone brand new.”

But will the judges think Steve has already had his stab at fame or give him another chance to make the big time he craves?
