Simon Cowell sparked a huge row between the three members of Stiletto when he singled one out for his ’special attention’!

The group of three sang Runaway by The Corrs for the judges, but failed to impress them. Simon however was quite taken with 21 year old Becky Fairclough, niece of Dexys Midnight Runners star Kevin Rowland, and told her to come back later and audition alone. After some deliberation and a hasty phone call to her father for advice Becky reauditioned and was put through to bootcamp by all three judges.

Although at first the other two members of Stiletto put on a brave face, they were far from happy! An insider told ‘The People’ that: “They were incensed after Becky got to the finals - they felt she’d deserted them. They had a huge screaming match. Some guys split them up as they feared it would turn violent. Simon’s caused life-long pals to fall out.”

I can see why the other members might be a bit miffed. Becky doesn’t have an amazing voice. She can sing, but people with better voices have been turned away. She got through on looks and the fact that she is cute and vulnerable looking rather than on talent alone. Maybe if the other two had put on big doe eyes they would have got through to bootcamp with their pal.
