STOP the press! Cheryl Cole is NOT returning to X Factor USA?
We are getting a little confused.
First – after months of speculation and rumours – Cheryl Cole landed a role on The X Factor USA. The, two weeks ago she was reportedly sacked by Simon Cowell and subsequent his lack of denial would seem to imply this bit was true.
Then, at the weekend almost all the Sunday tabloids reported that the ‘Promise This’ hitmaker had been rehired by Fox and was winging her way back to America, where she would rejoin her fellow panellists for the next round of auditions this Wednesday.
However, The Hollywood Reporter insists this is not the case and claims that Fox bosses have actually decided to buy Cole out of her $1.5 million contract.
It is reported that they do not want her back on the series, because of her lack of chemistry with fellow judges Paula Abdul. They said:
“There was no spark.
“It was nobody’s fault. It just didn’t work.”
Cheryl’s representative told the site: “Both parties are planning on abiding by the contract that was agreed to.
Will this be the end of the matter? Knowing Simon Cowell and his love of front page splashes, we seriously doubt it!

it said and RADIO 1 newsbeat this morning that both parties are in talks for her to return and a deal is being worked out.
So much nonsense is printed in the press! gaining alot of publicity for the show though, here in the uk at least, in america its reportedly not getting so much press because she’s relatively unknown there. the whole thing is ridiculous and very unprofessional! if i was cheryl and they had offered her the job back i’d tell them to stick it, lets face it she’d have no trouble finding other work. i’m not what you’d call a fan but think she deserves better than whats shes been getting!
