Taio Cruz has admitted that he loved working with Cheryl Cole when they co-wrote a track for her new album, ‘3 Words.’

In a chat with ITN Taio said:

“She’s lovely,” he said. “A lovely, lovely person. I’m proud to know her and have her in the phonebook. She’s a cool girl.”

He then joked about how Cheryl heard of him, saying: “She got the memo. She got the amazing memo that I sent out. It was just an email that says ‘I am amazing’ on it.”

He continued: “I think she heard ‘Take Me Back’, that I did with Tinchy Stryder, and she really liked the vibe and the dance element, the dance-y hip-hop fusion, and she wanted to do that. She was working with will.i.am quite a lot and getting a bit of an American sound, and she just said, ‘Can you make me something like that that’s not like that?’

“So we got in the studio and I just tried to find out what she was about and what she wanted to write about, and she said she wanted a song that her and her girlfriends could all go out to the club and dance to when it comes on, and she’d be like, ‘That’s my song!’

“So we wrote ‘Stand Up’, which is just about going out and partying and having fun.”
