As that old adage goes, ‘You can’t keep a good woman down’ and evidently, US pop star Taylor Swift is a very good woman because since her acrimonious split from One Direction’s Harry Styles, she’s been enjoying her status as a single lady and showing little sign of post-romance blues…

However, it would appear that she could be in the throes of changing her Facebook status to ‘In a relationship’ as it’s been reported that she’s dating Brit Award winner, Tom Odell.

The pair apparently shared a night out together recently at the Groucho Club, and though they tried hard to avoid the paparazzi who were gathered outside – by arriving and leaving separately – word soon got out to the media that they could be more than friends…

OMG! reports, “Tay and Tom must have been introduced during the various BRITs afterparties on Wednesday night, after Tom was taylor swift, tom odell 2handed the Critics Choice gong at the awards.”

Fans of Tom’s may recall that he recently sang a cover of Taylor’s hit I Knew You Were Trouble while performing in the Live Lounge, and of her, he said, “She is a really intriguing character in music in that she’s one of the biggest pop stars in the world…

“And yet I think her songs are brilliant, I really do.”

Tom – who’s pictured chatting to Taylor in the image from Ocean Up on the left – added, “I heard Trouble and I listened to the lyrics and I was thinking it would be cool to just do a slightly different take on this and make it a bit darker musically.

“Because lyrically it is quite dark. I think she’s a lot more real than people think she is.”

Phew, well we can stop worrying that she’s just a hologram then…

Here’s a look at Tom singing Taylor’s track…
