Simon Cowell has returned to London, wielded the whip and made some big changes to The X Factor it would seem.

The music mogul flew back to the UK earlier this week and insiders claimed that he was back to set things right on his ITV talent show before it went head to head with Strictly Come Dancing next week.

Last Saturday many viewers complained after an episode that ran for more than an hour contained only eight minutes of actual singing and some of that was pretty woeful.

Sources claimed that Cowell was going to change all that and this evening the TV boss took to Twitter to tell his fans:

‘Someone is going to win the biggest cash prize ever on tv tomorrow on red or black. And a lot more singing on x factor.’

Having seen exactly who and what will be featured on the fourth episode of the series, Unreality TV can confirm that there will definitely be more singers showcased and more talent on display, which will be a big relief for many fans.

Meanwhile, while we always knew Simon was an animal lover and has a real life passion for dogs, it seems he has a bit of a soft spot for other creatures too.

The star wants his very own penguin, which he will home in his huge LA mansion and he tweeted:

‘I can’t watch 2012 have just started mr poppers penguins. I want a penguin. Where can I buy one in la?’

Cowell’s UK visit was literally a flying one and this evening, he is jetting back across the Atlantic making some very tough life choices, he revealed:

‘On my way to la. at 35000 ft. I can’t decide raspberry or strawberry jam to go on my scones’

Decisions, decisions!

Simon had better make the most of the down time, as The X Factor USA is due to launch it’s second series this week and we imagine he has quite a hectic schedule planned for the forseeable future.
