The Unconventionals: First To Leave X Factor
The Unconventionals have become the first act to leave the X Factor competition.
In a vote that saw a Louis Walsh act up against a Sharon Osbourne act, Simon Cowell has the deciding vote. On the strength of tonight’s performance, he chose to reject The Unconventionals.
Personally, I thought The Unconventionals were a great act with real potential to follow along the line of G4 from two years ago, but tonight’s performance was awful. There was just far too much going on all at once. It was anarchy.
Saved from eviction was Dionne Mitchell, who was in my top three performances tonight. I still can’t understand how she ended up in the bottom two.
As I write this, Kate Thornton has been talking to Ben Shepherd on Xtra Factor. She seemed distracted and confused by the decision to eject The Unconventionals and said that you can never second-guess the general public in a competition like this!
So, goodbye to The Unconventionals and good luck to Dionne for the rest of the competition!

It’s such a shame that the Unconventionals were the ones kicked out.
I thought that their performance was fantastic, and would have much rather had Eton Road leave. There’s something that I just don’t like about them.
I enjoyed Dionne’s performance, and as soon as Ashley was put through, I knew what was coming.
I REALLY hope they get a contract anyway, as they are great singers, and they are different. We need something fresh in the music industry, as there is too much emo/gangster/dance music out there. The Unconventionals would give us something fun, new and exciting.
I don’t know if I can be bothered to watch anymore, as only 2 of my favourites, Ben and Karen, are left.
Whoever wins this year had better be the best act yet.

A shame that both them and Dionne were in the final two. There were far worse performers on the night. Im rooting for you Dionne, you have a trus gift.

How could the ‘yoof’ of today text their votes in for this band? They couldn’t possibly spell it on their own without their teachers help, could they?

On a seperate note, I think that Dionne did very well tonight and I concurr wholeheartedly with you Sarah.
to be 100%honest i never thought the unconevtionals would win but they deserverd to get alot further then tonight. your original and fresh and i would pay what little money i earn to see you perform so keep it up coz you’ve a talent that alot of people will appreciate. the xfactor is just the beginning for you guys. kay sa-ra sa-ra, whatever will be will be. your by no way looser. all the best to you all,

In the time it would have taken the average A-level student to text ‘The Unspellables’ correctly you could have voted for all the other acts put together!
