The Voice’s Bill Downs, Aleks Josh, Max Milner and David Julien to form new One Direction?
The success of One Direction has seemingly inspired reality TV fans everywhere it would seem.
The boys – Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne – all auditioned for The X Factor back in 2010 as solo artists but were later asked by Simon Cowell to join a boyband.
They only finished in third place on the ITV show, but have went on to become one of the most successful X Factor acts ever, cracking America, selling out tours worldwide and pushing their album to the top of UK, US, Irish and Canadian charts.
Now, it seems that some contestants from The Voice have decided to follow in their footsteps, if they don’t make the live rounds of the BBC show and it has been reported that Bill Downs, Aleks Josh, Max Milner and David Julien will all join forces if they don’t get through the Battle Rounds later this month.
Bill told The Daily Star:
“There are some really strong people in Team Danny. The boys especially are strong singers.
“Me and Max and Aleks and David have all said that if we don’t make the live shows then we’ll carry on as a boyband.
“We can be the new One Direction.
“I think that would be amazing.”
