The Voice’s Leanne Mitchell & Aiden Grimshaw stall in charts but you can still buy Bo Bruce, Vince Kidd, Tyler James compilation album!
Leanne Mitchell has failed to take the charts by storm, with her debut single.
After the former holiday cap entertainer won The Voice last weekend, her version of Whitney Houston’s ‘Run To You’ was released via iTunes, for fans of the show to download.
However, it got off to a slow sales start, with Bo Bruce’s EP rocking into the album top ten, while Leanne’s release failed to make it into the top 20 by the time the midweek results were revealed.
Mitchell’s track had been sitting at number 27 on Wednesday, but this evening came in at number 45, failing to make the top 40 played on Radio 1.
It wasn’t great news for the X Factor either, as former contestant Aiden Grimshaw’s debut single “Is This Love” charted at just number 35.
ITV judge Gary Barlow was riding high as usual though, as his Diamond Jubilee album ‘Sing’ topped the charts for the second week running.
Meanwhile, fans of The Voice have quite a treat coming their way this week as the finalists and semi finalists of the show have released a compilation album.
Finalists Leanne, Bo Bruce, Vince Kidd and Tyler James have each contributed two songs each to the record, with semi finalists Ruth Jones, Jaz Ellington, Max Milner and Becky Hill each recording one track. It can be downloaded from iTunes, for the pretty price of £7.99.
