The Voice’s Reggie Yates is scared of Britain’s Got Talent’s Simon Cowell!

They may be competing for TV dominance on a Saturday night, but despite The Voice UK co-host and Radio 1 DJ Reggie Yates not being shy when it comes to plugging his own show The Voice and highlighting it’s differences from Simon Cowell helmed shows such as The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, he says that he doesn’t want to push things too far…because he’s scared of him!

“I’ve never slammed the X Factor, I just said The Voice is more credible than any other show” the 28yr old told the latest issue of Company Magazine. “I’m not stupid enough to say anything bad about Simon Cowell – I don’t want to P*** him off. He’s like an overlord!”

So, would Reggie ever swap presenting Reality TV for appearing as a celeb contestant on the likes of Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing on Ice or enter the jungle for I’m A Celeb? Judging by his answer to that question, don’t hold your breath….

“No Thanks. I’ve been asked to do everything from Strictly Come Dancing to that Ice Skating thingy. Shows like that don’t fit in with what I think TV is for”

Watch Reggie present The Voice UK tonight (14th April) from 7pm on BBC1.
