The Wanted and Katy Perry to perform on second X Factor 2011 results show
Dermot O’Leary announced yesterday that X Factor viewers are in for a treat next Sunday night.
After two pretty decent performances from Matt Cardle and Cee Lo Green on last night’s live episode – with a twist! – the hunky presenter revealed that next weekend we will be treated to live performances by Katy Perry and The Wanted.
It is rumoured that the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ hitmaker will perform her most recent single “The One That Got Away”, taken from her third studio album, Teenage Dream.
The Wanted will be debuting their new single “Lightning”, which is taken from their upcoming second studio album, Battleground and will be released on Sunday 16th October.
Katy of course is no stranger to the X Factor and last year, filled in for Cheryl Cole as she acted as a guest judge in Dublin. In fact she was one of the team responsible for finding the massively talented Mary Byrne.
She also performed her hit single ‘Firework’ on last year’s series, though was later slated for the poor quality of her live vocal performance.

God! Again?
Katy is fabulous, but the list of acts performing on the results show is getting a great deal of boring, a repeat of last years.
Oh, and Katy subbed for Dannii while she was on maternity, not for Cheryl’s malaria.
I love the wanted so much I cannot wait to see them perform this weekend. They always put on a good show no matter what it is they are epic live. Lightning is such an amazing song too, future number 1! Katy will be great too!

Uhhhh…I like both artists but I gotta say The Wanted aren’t consistently good singers live- they have their good performances and then they have their weak ones.
As for Katy Perry: A crazy outfit and strobe lights barely cover her up.
Wooooohhhhoooo the wanted rocks! U can slate them all u like everyone has good and bad performances n to be honest theve never add one thats been that bad!….there guna rock this show n there gunna attract so many more veiwers

Not again. Having heard a lot of modern singers on the radio of late Katy Perry should just give up.
