18 year old barmaid Tina Dickinson, discharged hersefl from hospital, while recovering from heart surgery, just to audition for this years X Factor 2006.

Tina stunned the TV talent show’s judges when she turned up to sing.

She said: “I’ve got a heart condition. Recently, I had a heart operation but I discharged myself to come to this audition.”

Sharon Osbourne replied: “You’re joking? Why would you do that?”

Tina told her: “Because it’s so important - it really is.”

But Simon Cowell was less than impressed by her actions. He said: “I wish you hadn’t told me that, Tina.”

She replied: “Why? You’ve got to put me through now.”

“Exactly,” he said.

However Tina’s didn’t rely on symapthy to get her through to boot camp, she used her magnificent voice to do that for her!

Her singing even won over Cowell, who said: “I thought it was terrific. I really like this girl.

“Got to tell you - putting you together with that voice just really worked for me. Great.”

But he mocked her choice of song, Roberta Flack’s Killing Me Softly. He said: “That’s the wrong song to choose, Tina, after what you just told us!”
