Hollywood A lister Tom Cruise has reportedly asked Louis Walsh for tickets for this year’s X Factor series. The Mission Impossible star is a huge fan of the show and made the request at a recent showbiz party.

Louis Walsh told The Irish Herald:

“I met him at the Oscar Wilder party. He actually came up to me and started talking to me about the X Factor.”

“He knows Simon Cowell and has watched the show on the internet. He was quite intense and wanted to know all about how it works and what went on behind the scenes.”

“Tom kept asking me if I would do the show in the States and if he could go to the show in the UK if he was in town. I told him that wouldn’t be a problem.

“We don’t have tickets or anything yet but I can’t imagine it would be a problem getting Tom Cruise a ticket,” he added.

The X factor judge said that the actor also expressed an interest in coming back to Ireland and tracking down his Irish relatives.

“He was cool, and didn’t talk about scientology or anything like that. He seems to think that he has relations in the west of Ireland so when I told him I was from Mayo he wanted to know all about it,” he continued.

“But I don’t know of any Cruise family in Mayo or around that area. It is definitely not a common name but he can always stay with me if he wants to come over and find his roots!” Louis added.
