Toni Braxton has become the latest star to be linked to Simon Cowell’s American X Factor series.

After the music mogul sacked Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger from the judging panel of the hit Fox talent show, he has been looking for some big named celebrities to take up their spots. Cowell recently confirmed that the late Whitney Houston was one of the names being considered by him and network bosses.

‘Un-Break My Heart’ hitmaker Toni has been reportedly meeting with Cowell about possibly taking a seat at the judges’ table and after her fans bombarded her on Twitter, with questions about the reality TV show, she replied:

“Lots of X-Factor questions I see…”

She also retweeted a fan’s comment, which read:

“Everyone tweet @SimonCowell and let him know you’d love to see @tonibraxton judge next seasons @xfactorusa!!! I think she’d be perfect. #TB”

Of course, Toni is most likely being championed by X Factor judge L.A. Reid, as he was the man who gave the singer her big break back in the 90′s, when he signed her to his LaFace Records label and immediately began work on her debut album.

The 44 year old recently confirmed that she would be joining forces with her old pal again this year and revealed that she was beginning work on her seventh studio album and that L.A. Reid would be producing the record.

Braxton is no stranger to reality TV either, having starred in the 7th season of Dancing with the Stars. Her professional partner was Alec Mazo and the brunette beauty was voted off in week five of the competition.

She also fronted a reality series entitled Braxton Family Values, which starred Toni and her sisters. The debut series aired last April on WE tv and since the network has ordered a 13-episode second season of the show.

Braxton made an appearance on the season finale of American Idol 5 where she performed Elvis Presley’s “In the Ghetto” with soon-to-be winner Taylor Hicks.
