Tulisa Contostavlos predicts X Factor shocks for 2012 series

Tulisa Contostavlos has predicted that there will be plenty of shocks and surprises to keep viewers interested in The X Factor this year.

The former N-Dubz singer has hinted that she will probably be back on the ITV show when auditions begin this month, although ITV have not officially confirmed her return and she teased that fans can expect things to be shaken up a little for the 2012 series.

Of course The X Factor suffered in the ratings war again Strictly Come Dancing last autumn and winter and show bosses will be keen to avoid a repeat of that failure, so the brunette beauty admitted that they will be ‘fighting’ to make the best series they can can this.

“Every day is a competition whether you’re in television or music — you’re always fighting to be the best,” Tulisa told The Sun.

“You need to keep reinventing yourself and changing things up and keeping people entertained.

“So I’m sure they will do something that either shocks people or just gets the viewers excited this year.”

One big change will be taking place within the judging panel, as it has been revealed that Kelly Rowland will not be back for a second run. The person who seems most likely to replace her is former show star Dannii Minogue, who worked on the ITV show for four years, before being forced out in 2011 due to scheduling difficulties.

Dannii recently split from her baby daddy Kris and is said to be keen to throw herself back into her career.

Other changes may involve guest judges, the weekly themes or a shake up of the categories.

The X Factor returns to our TV screens this August, so all will be revealed in just a few months time.
