Niall Horan may be one of the most fanciable men in the world right now, with legions of dedicated female fans all around the globe, however he’s admitted that he isn’t much of a flirt.
Louis Tomlinson admitted recently that he considers himself to be brilliant at the whole flirting and chatting up thing, even though he has been in a serious relationship for the last two years.
However Nialler insists that he can’t compete with his bandmates, because he can’t relax enough when he’s around the ladies.
The Little Things singer is the only member of 1D that has never admitted to having a steady girlfriend since being in the X Factor band and maybe that’s because he doesn’t consider himself to be a ladies man.
When asked about his flirting skills in a recent interview the Irish star said:
“I can’t compete against them.
“There’s a way to do it and you have to be relaxed but sometimes I can get fidgety.”
The 1D hunk was incredibly honest when asked to give himself a mark out of ten for his flirting skills and if you consider Harry Styles to be a ten and Louis Walsh to be a one, Niall thinks he falls somewhere in the middle of the two.
He told Top of the Pops magazine:
“I’m just going to give myself a figure but don’t ask me to explain it.
“I’m going to throw out a six.”
Niall spent a lot of time this summer in America as he toured the US with his bandmates and next month he’ll be back in the states promoting his third album, Midnight Memories.
Horan might be on the lookout for a lady friend too and he’s admitted that he’d like to date a yank, saying:
“I’d love an American girl.
“In fact everyone in the group loves an American girl.
“To me it doesn’t matter where a girl is from.
“I like any girl I can hold a good conversation with.”
Niall is currently performing in New Zealand with his bandmates as they wrap up the final leg of their Take Me Home tour and it sounds like he’s enjoying the trip down under.
Horan tweeted today saying:
Nice day in NZ today! Weather is a lot better

He’s pretty excited about coming home to release his new album too though and added:
“can’t wait for you guys to hear Midnight Memories . Think you’re gona love the new tracks we’ve written ! ”
None of his success would have been possible without the dedication of One Direction fans all around the world and Niall admitted that he loves reading their comments, tweets and messages both to and about him online.
He said: “I love it. I love looking for things like that.
“If someone has written a nice story about us or written something to me I go looking for it.”
It helps that Niall isn’t affected too badly by negative messages and stories about him and he admitted that he finds it easy to ignore any hate he receives.
“If there’s bad stuff it doesn’t really faze me because it’s that small group in the world that has something against you and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
If things do get Niall down he tries to work it out physically, either by taking some time with his personal trainer or by playing a bit of football or golf with his pals.
It’s all a kick back to his younger days when he spent all his free time playing outdoors in Mullingar.
“I like being outside. I didn’t ever do any mountain climbing or anything like that.”
“I played a lot of sport when I was a kid.
“I was one of those outdoor people so I didn’t watch much telly.”
How much life has changed eh?
