Unreality TV officially supporting Joe McElderry to win X Factor

joseph-mcelderryWe’ve sat down and had crunch talks about who Unreality TV should back to win X Factor 2009. And, well, there’s really only one choice – we’re backing Joe McElderry to win X Factor 2009.

Why should you vote for Joe?

  1. For a start, he can actually sing.
  2. Not only can he sing, but he’s been consistently good since the live shows began.
  3. He’s a genuinely nice guy, not an egomaniac, just a hard worker who hasn’t had to rely on stunts to get attention.
  4. We can see him as a pop star, selling records and wowing audiences all around the country.

He’s in competition with Olly Murs and Stacey Solomon. As someone said to me the other day, Olly is not recording artist material – he relies too heavily on big stage routines to distract the audience from a distinctly mediocre voice. The truth is, no-one can imagine listening to an Olly Murs album. Except perhaps his mum.

As for Stacey. We love her, we really do. But her voice has been overhyped since day one. She’s tried to do the Leona thing – standing on stage in flowing frocks – but with only about 35% of Leona’s singing ability, it all seems a bit stilted. And then there’s that speaking voice. Somebody call ‘enry ‘iggins! She needs major elocution lessons.

When you get to Joe, you’ve got a strong singer who’s as reliable on stage as he would be in a recording studio. He’s young enough and handsome enough to attract the teenage girlie market, provided Syco give him the right material to release. But he’s by no means a finished product – it’s far more difficult to market a male solo artist these days. But we’re going to trust that Simon has learned his lessons from the Leon Jackson debacle!

Anyway, we’re urging all our readers to vote for Joe McElderry in the X Factor final. After all, it’s a singing competition, isn’t it?

Joe To Win!!!
