I have been waiting for tonight’s live X factor show for weeks! I didn’t particularly enjoy this years audition shows, I found them all a bit too staged, but I have always been a big fan of the live shows and I was looking forward to getting to know our XF finalists that little bit better.

We have written our opinions of each acts performances tonight over on our forum, feel free to pop over and share your views.

Now the show has ended, here is our very own X Factor chart, who we thought was the best and the worst tonight!

1) Rhydian Roberts: Rhydian has been tipped at various points over the last few weeks as the most likely act to leave the show tonight, yet Simon and all the judges gushed about his fiesty performance. Rhydian blasted out Meatloaf’s Anything For Love and while the vocals weren’t perfect, they were engaging. He gave a great performance and his voice was really good, he wasn’t at all boring, which is more than I can say for some of tonight’s singers.

2) Futureproof: I wanted to hate this group. I hate that they were manufactured, it makes it all seem a bit fake. But when the boys sang She’s The One tonight I thought they performed it almost perfectly. You would never guess that they had only been together for a few short months.

3) Niki Evans: I don’t like the way Niki’s story has become more important than Niki’s voice, it is getting a bit tiresome for me. However I loved Niki’s emotional performance of Nothing Compares To You tonight. She had a lot of pressure on her and it couldn’t have been easy singing such a heartfelt song after the VT they played immediately before about her dead dad. She has a lovely voice, but more importantly tonight I think we some of her spirit.

4) Same Difference: Cheesy to the max! These guys are so corny and they should be awful, but I just loved their version of Tragedy on tonight’s show. It was quite scary how much Sean looked like H from Steps though….

5) Hope: Technically these girls were good. Good vocals, good dancing, revealing outfits. It wasn’t a bad performance, but for me something was lacking. It just wasn’t interesting enough. But I will admit, they can sing. The fact that all the judges loved them so much makes me wonder if these girls have already been chosen for the final?

6) Beverley Trotman: Beverley came out of her shell tonight, in fact if they hadn’t announced her name I would never have known who she was. She sang I will Survive and she sang it well. But as Simon Cowell said, it was all a bit too “Stars In Their Eyes” for me.

7) Kimberley Southwick: It’s Raining Men…..why would Sharon choose this song? Kimberley sounded like what she is…..a Karaoke singer on a big stage. Not awful, not great, very Karaoke. She was energetic though….lots of spirit that girl.

8 Andy Williams: Tonight Andy sang I don’t Wanna Talk About It, it was booooooooooring! He is a good singer, but is he seriously one of the most talented people in Britain as this show would have me believe? I didn’t see it tonight.

9) Daniel DeBourg: I know that many of you will disagree with me on this one, but I just didn’t like Daniel’s performance of Heaven tonight. He walked like he was timing and measuring every step, he had serious pitching problems and he made me want to sleep for 100 years. I hope he picks the pace up next week if he is still around.

10) Alisha Bennett: Alisha sang Dreams by Gabrielle behind a picture frame. Its sounds a bit random and it was. It wasn’t an awful performance, but I didn’t get it. She seems a bit strange to me and I thought it was very fair of Sharon to admit to choosing a crap song. It really did Alisha no favours. I really liked Alisha in bootcamp, if she survives this week I hope she gets to work on some decent material.

11) Emily Nakanda: Emily was given the song Knew You Were Waiting, which was much too old and much too low for her. She couldn’t reach some of the bottom notes and her performance wasn’t as polished as some of the others. However, I really hope Emily gets through this stage. I think she can do much better than this, and I hadn’t realised that throughout her X Factor journey, Emily also has to keep up with her schoolwork unless she wants to get in trouble with the law. All this and she has just turned 15. I could never have done what she did tonight at 15. I hope that Emily gets another chance to shine.

12) Leon Jackson: Leon drew the very short straw tonight when Dannii made him sing Money Don’t Buy Me Love in a strange Jazz/Swing type style. Simon was right to call Dannii insane. Why she thought this would ever work I do not know. Is Leon talented? I don’t know. The song was just too bad to tell.
