Was X Factor fixed for John and Edward Grimes?
Insiders have accused X Factor bosses of fixing Saturday night’s show, in an effort to keep John and Edward Grimes on the show.
John and Edward were reportedly supposed to be opening the show, which is a notoriously bad spot when it comes to winning votes, however just before the show aired the boys were bumped to the second last slot on the show. In the end, the boys performed just 10 minutes before voting lines opened.
Last night an X Factor spokeswoman told The Daily Star: “It’s true that the running order was changed on Saturday but this has happened before.
“Often after a dress rehearsal the producers may decide to alter the running order to change the pace of the show or for technical reasons if an act is doing a big stage number and time is needed to set it up.
“The fact that John and Edward sang towards the end of the show means nothing.
“Danyl was in a similar position last week and he ended up in the sing-off.”

Well DUH, of course X Factor was fixed. It’s been fixed for years. Jedward is only there as filler, and they’ll be around for many more episodes while the genuine talent is voted off. In the back rooms of X Factor, they’ll be discussing who is a threat to their choice of winner (ie. Rachel gets voted off, because she’s showing the others up with her fine voice) and fluff and filler (like Lloyd) are there to pad out the show until they can launch a new money-spinner for themselves. They couldn’t make money managing a fat older singer with a great voice like Nicole. If Elvis reappeared today he’d be voted off too. It’s youth, sex appeal, mouldability and a LONG money-spinning career making dumbed-down digital pop trash that is needed. Goodbye dear Rachel, and if somebody doesn’t offer you a contract I’ll go and live in the rainforest so I don’t have to watch this hyped-up garbage a second longer.

What is wrong with you people? Some say that they are good entertainment, some that they annoy Cowell. Its like pulling teeth watching them murder yet another song and then someone who has some small amount of talent is ditched in favour of these jokers.
Please get a grip people and vote them out.

With respect, who cares if you stop watching, Caoimhe. Jedward are the best, most entertaining act on the show. Moreover, they aren’t the worst singers on the show–Lloyd is. They’ll be around for a few more weeks at least–and they deserve to be.
John and Edward were put in the live shows by the 4 judges who now seem to have amnesia on how jedward got their or do they… they are laughing at them all the way to the bank at expense of 2 young naive, gullible, trustinging boys who are trying their best and are the butt of simones joke to make money
Ya that’s true Peter and Ed. The boys always do massive performances where they run around the stage and dance in heavy jackets nd stuff. Even the best singers struggle to hold a note under those circumstances. Thats why Britney mimed, coz she cudnt sing & dance at d same time. Lloyd just stands there & strolls around d stage and he still sings out of tune. They wud easily sing better than him if they were just standing in front of a mic or whatever.

The same question comes up every year, Is the X Factor fixed? We will never know the truth as there is too much money at stake! There is always one rubbish act kept in until the end, no matter how annoying they are. What people seem to forget is that this is a singing competition, John and Edward cannot sing! If they want to be ‘entertaining’ then audition for Britains got Talent. By being kept on the X-Factor people that can actually sing are being voted off. It isn’t fair, but we’ll all still watch it ’til the end hey?!
This has gone too far now,Jedward they should have never got into the finals, it is not fair for the ones with more talent. It is a total farse and Walsh will get them in show buisiness as they are of course irish. The sooner these people that are pushing them should realise that people will not be watching X-Factor anymore because of it being fixed. Also simon knew that Rachel was better than Lloyd yet he put it to a public vote what does that say about the X-Factor ? Rachel was a far better singer and now i am getting fed up watching the show as it is all a farse. Wasting your money phoneing your fav as the winner is all ready picked.
What a Joke how fixed is X Factor Simon Cowell sould be investigated on his decision to go to the public vote tonight. It is my belief that he made the choice to give his act’s a much better chance of winning the Xfactor. I always watched the xfactor since it started a few years ago. I will never watch it again after this complete joke.

I will definately not be watching anymore total fix i did the vote on the x factor chat they asked if the right person went 95% said no so whats going on ,its strictly come dancing for me now.
how naieve are you all? the only rson the x factor exists is to make simon cowell rich. it is totally irrelevent who votes and how many times they vote, simon cowell is the person who actually chooses who goes and who stays. he has already picked his winner, everytime that winnerends up in the bottom two they will get ‘saved’. it is in simons interests to keep the twins in as this will make the public who beleive their votes have an effect will keep on dailing money into simons account. wake up people, stop votin, stop giving this man your money!
To me Simon Cowell is a SMUG little man him John and Edward should all be made to live on a little island together that will knock the smug grin of Simons face. i’ve always thought a show like this couldn’t run so well without some fiddling taking place along the way.simon cowell looked almost embarrassed at not sending the twins home. he’ll say it was a tactical decision of course but he’s made it blatantly obvious now that there is some “fixing” in the works. all the judges must know the voting results before they are officially announced. there will be big trouble if an insider is upset at any point and opens a can of worms – [this has happened before].
its a great show and as always a great singer will win the competition but being honest with the voting public should take priority over anything else. stu

The public have a right to know if their money is wasted!!!
If the judges know the public result we should be told that someone must be in a position to know. Simon is a real 2 faced so and so. Has wanted them off and got the chane to do that and what happened!!! Only reason watching this week his to hear his ‘well rehearsed’ speech!! I think the x factor is fixed they have sent 2 good singers home for to keep john and edward in. I liked rachel and lucie and think they were both great. SIMON was a chicken on the show other night putting it to deadlock, he said the first chance he could he would put them out and didnt. IT IS A PURE FIX. If john and edward win i think a lot of x factor fans will stop watching the show.
why are votes not counted and checked by an independant party

That would’nt be fair to the artists but what if no-one one voted and left it up to the stupid over rated judges!! They all have made errors this time and big time!!!! How can a man who obviously considers himself educated, pronounce on TV that the judges will make their decision on the basis of what they “see tonight”, then turn round and say let the public decide, what a contrare man, my conclusion, cop out and an easy target to get rid of a fantastic contender and therefore help his team, what a hypo’crap’sy

Its the public thats voting the boys in the young kids love them because they jump around the stage.I think it should be down to the public who goes and who stays.So the judges shouldnt be responsible for the decisions made about the voting let the public do they job .

we all know there is only one winner but to kick out 3 perfectly good singers for 2 tone deaf twins week after week cant b right but simon and louis knew what they were doing by fighting and him pulling the twins down the great british public would back the underdog shame they are actually TALENLESS WE SHOULD STOP RINGING FOR THEM AND SUPPORT THE ONES WHO ACTUALLY CAN SING AND HAVE TALENT then we can only blame ourselves IF they win
Is xfactor fixed ?
All talent shows are fixed to some extent to gain viewer interest. That is not always a bad thing.
One of the girls in our band used to be a TV actress and she was always getting text messages from casting to ask if one or two of us would pretend to be contestants in talent shows. We could not all go because it would have been too obvious. Everyone is a bit wiser about how shows can be fixed now.
