Gutted! I am absolutely gutted!

Gerard and I attended the X Factor press launch at The Mayfair Hotel in London today. We have loads of insider info and scoops to share On X Factor 4 which starts this Saturday….come back tomorrow for all that gossip. But tonight I just have to rant.

As we approached the launch venue this afternoon, I noticed all new X factor host, Dermot O’Leary walking directly in front of me. I am not usually prone to coming over all starstruck, but as all you girls will understand, this is Dermie! I could barely speak to tell Gerard he was there.

As we entered the hotel, one of the ITV staff told Dermot that he had come through the wrong entrance and asked him to wait in the bar until the launch was ready to begin. He and his two friends laughed, quipped and turned to leave. Dermot jokingly turned to Gerard and I and said “lets go guys”. I was struck speechless, more so as Gerard refused and said “No, I think we will just go on in…”

Who, in their right mind, turns down a drink with the delectable Dermot? I realise that he was probably joking, and didn’t actually expect us to follow him. But if we had, what could he have done? He couldn’t have told us to go away, he was just much too friendly for that.

It has since dawned on me that Gerard refused as he knows that Mr O’Leary is on my ‘freebie list’….if you know what I mean. He is obviously feeling threatened….he really should! The man is even cuter in real life!
