Westlife have most definitely appeared on X Factor more than any other group. They have mentored, advised, sang and tonight they performed their brand new single, ‘What About Now’.

Westlife’s new material is the first since 2007’s Back Home, which became the band’s seventh number one album, spending two months in the Top Ten and selling over 1 million copies in the UK alone.

I have to admit, despite the fact that I’m not a big Westlife fan, the boys were tight with their vocals and the song was actually quite a good choice. I’d love for them to perform an original song for a change, but Louis Walsh does seem to be overly fond of the cheesy covers.

I’d say they blew Whitney, Robbie and Cheryl out of the water with that vocal performance wouldn’t you?
