What The Web’s Saying About Maria
I miss X-Factor for one night and what happens? They kick out my favourite act!
Well, I’m pretty bloody angry that Maria got voted out this week. Another performer getting tripped up by a bad song choice, then mercilessly shafted by a tone deaf judge. Louis, I’m not happy about this, but I’ll deal with you in another post….
Anyway folks, the blogosphere has gone nuts with people complaining that the whole thing’s a fix and that the judges are no better than animals.
Black mask feels that “the conway [sisters] are the same every [beep] week” and that the competition isn’t about talent, despite what the judges say.
Chig (and virtually everybody else) reckons the Conways were saved simply because they’re Irish. Simon’s not sure what to make of the Irish Mafia comparisons, but points out that it was the public who put Maria in the bottom two.
Graeme thinks voting Maria off was “single handedly the worst piece of television” in his life.
And the most heart-warming: Kargo has started a Petition For Maria on Blogspot, asking well wishers to leave a comment there. Sadly, he/she doesn’t actually mention what the petition is expected to achieve! Ah well, go ahead and sign it anyway!
For my part, if Louis is going to vote tactically, then maybe we should do the same. How about we encourage all our friends and family not to buy the new Westlife or Girls Aloud records?

Hey, I’m Irish and think that the Conway sisiters are sh*te as do all my mates-We watched it b 4 heading out on Saturday and were shocked at the decision.
Louis seems pretty petty and I’m sure Simon only picked them out of loyalty.
Did anyone else think that they have a bit to much attitude on Saturday towards Simon-They should get over themselves and return to singing in pubs and clubs

She was my favourite act!!! Maria is in a different league to the Conway sisters. I didn’t watch the show on Saturday but her song must have pretty rough for her to go. I’m surprised she was even in the bottom two. Something must have gone really wrong this week.

This contest is not a talent show it is a joke! It is just an opportunity for the judges to get even with each other at the total expense of the hard working contestants. The Conway sisters won barely due to their accents and nothing else. Maria should have won the whole show never mind sending her home. I will continue to watch the show but will never after this disgraceful decision take the show seriously again. I think Sharon and Simon are very honest and balanced in their advice, but Louis cant think for himself and gives advice depending on how he feels or who he feels like getting back at. I think he should most definately not be one of the judges next time so that we can see a REAL TALENT SHOW. After Saturday night I think the show has lost a lot of credibility in the eyes of many viewers - well done for that Louis!!!!
