Whitney Houston seemingly confirmed that she was joining The X Factor USA, in a video taken just hours before she was found dead yesterday.

Simon Cowell has already admitted that he was meeting with Fox bosses on Monday and one of the matters they were planning to discuss, was the fact that Whitney was willing to work on the hit talent show as a judge or guest mentor.

In the video below, which was taken on Friday afternoon, the ‘I Have Nothing’ hitmaker is filmed chatting with Clive Davis, Brandy, and Monica, while they were taking a break from promoting his pre-Grammy gala at the Beverly Hilton.

Whitney had been staying in the hotel, with her daughter Bobbi Kristina, who is also seen in the clip.

The actress and singer appears to have just emerged from the swimming pool and tells someone off camera “You’ll see us on X Factor,” before chatting with her mentor and friends.

Houston then has her daughter go and greet Clive, saying

‘Come say hi to your Godfather.’

Whitney of course appeared on The X Factor UK back in 2009, and caused some distress to show host Dermot O’Leary, who later claimed that she gave him the ‘death glare.’ She was also said to be upset with Simon Cowell at the time, because he allowed his contestant Danyl Johnson to sing a new single, which she had not yet released.

She went on to perform her hit song ‘Million Dollar Bill’ on one of the live X Factor results shows.

Whitney Houston was found dead in the bathtub of her Beverly Hilton hotel suite yesterday by a member of her entourage, it is claimed that her 18 year old daughter Bobbi Kristina has been taken to hospital twice since.
