Rumours are rife that Danni Minogue is considering leaving this years X Factor series due to Cheryl Cole being given more attention and air time that her.

A source told Star magazine: “She feels she is being edited out a lot of the time, while Cheryl is stealing the show.

“At least Sharon Osbourne still managed to have a strong presence when Dannii joined the show’s panel last year – but now Dannii’s slowly fading into the background, and it’s painfully noticeable.

The insider added: “Still, Dannii’s not one to kick up a fuss. She also doesn’t want anyone to accuse her of being petty or jealous. Dannii’s hoping this will be resolved.”

So will she leave? I doubt that she will make that step before the end of this series. She is not rich enough to be blase about her fee and The X Factor has given her a huge profile in the UK that she would never have acheived alone.

I can see her stepping down after this series is wrapped and I’m not sure what that would mean for the show. I would like to see the show settle on a panel of permanent judges without the yearly chopping and changing. It’s enough to get used to a group of new audtionees each year, there was always something comforting about watching Sharon, Simon and Louis spar in their old familiar way. Bring back the old days I say!
