Dominic Harris almost succeeded on X Factor 2007, making it as far as Dannii Minogue’s final six boys but narrowly missing out on the live shows. So he has come back this year for another bite of the cherry. Watch his appearance on GMTV below, where he chats about losing out last time.

Tomorrow night, Dominic returns, this time auditioning in front of a large audience.

“The nerves kind of got to me and I fell apart in my last audition. It was a big confidence knock and going home and telling everyone I hadn’t made it was just devastating,” he admitted.

“This competition means everything to me; it could either make or break my dreams. When I walk onto that stage and see Dannii again, it’s all going to come rushing back to me, but I’m just going to try and impress them to the max, and maybe, maybe this time”

So as Dominic prepares to impress the Judges, Dannii questions him about what has changed since his last audition. Dominic tells Dannii that he thinks he is “more emotionally ready maybe”.

After his performance Dannii compares him back to his original audition, but has there been enough improvement for the Judges to put him through again to have a shot at getting further in the competition?
