Rumours have emerged today that Sharon Osbourne may become the second judge to leave the X Factor, but not until next season.

A source told the Daily Express: “Simon Cowell and Sharon have exchanged faxes sorting her future out with the show, and her plans do not include X Factor.”

He continued: “With the axe being wielded on X Factor, it’s got everyone running scared, and Sharon knows her name was mentioned in that shake-up.”

Instead, the source claims Sharon has asked about becoming a judge on Simon’s US reality show, America’s Got Talent:

“All she is doing is securing her future and branching out.”

A spokesman did not confirm Sharon’s decision to leave The X Factor, but did tell the Express:

“She has a lot of things coming up, including a film and a worldwide TV special, but she will be back in that judge’s chair on X Factor this summer.”

I would be gutted if Sharon left the X Factor. She manages to be truthful without being rude….well most of the time. I think she adds a lot of spice and glamour to the show and while I won’t miss Louis Walsh for one second, Sharon Osbournes departure would be a real shambe
