X Factor 2006: Nikitta Angus Melts Simon Cowells Heart!
Scottish teenager Nikitta Angus manages to melt Simon Cowells heart tonight on the X Factor by singing the song she last sang at her mums funeral.
Nikitta Angus, 17, sings Dimming Of The Day by Bonnie Raitt – the tune she sang after her mother’s death from cancer.
She tells Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh: “The first gig I had to do without her was quite hard and emotional.
“I actually cried on stage. I still have my moments where I obviously cry for her but I have to get on with my life and do what she wanted me to do.”
Mr Nasty, Simon Cowell was particularly impressed, saying:
“I thought your voice was fantastic and your mum would be proud.
“It’s one of the very rare times someone comes into the room and sings absolutely from the heart and means every word.”
