On tomorrow night’s X Factor show we meet 80 year old Cyril who believes that you are never too old to sing.

“I am 80 years old but I feel half my age” Cyril tells Dermot O’Leary, “it’s a beautiful feeling”. “I’m here because I have a feeling I can win it, I’ve always wanted to be a big star, all my life, it was one of my big dreams. I want to prove that you’re never too old to make it”. “I have the will, drive and enthusiasm” laughs Cyril.

Dermot opens the door to the audition room and Cyril confidentially walks in and tells them his age, they all say “WOW”

“You look fantastic” says Cheryl

“I’m here to win” says Cyril, “I like that” says Simon

Cyril starts to sing Hey Good Looking – although during his audition he looks to production at the side of the room not the Judges, the Judges try to get his attention but Cyril is happy performing and doesn’t realise!

“He’s a showman” – says Simon

“I thought you were fantastic” says Cheryl

“Cyril, you’re a born showman, and a great dancer” says Louis

But will his not singing directly at the Judge’s affect their decision about him?
