I don’t know how I have missed her so far, but on tonight’s X Factor bootcamp show I noticed Diana Vickers for the first time this series.

She sang Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley, and unlike many of the other singers before her who crashed and burned and fell apart with nerves, Diana stayed focused and made the song completely her own.

Although she did have some definite Amy Winehouse influence in her voice, she was certainly not trying to be a tribute acte and what I liked about Diana was her performance style and stage presence.

In case you can’t remember who this girl is, I have included a video clip at the top of the page. I am hoping to see this girl in the top twelve, but this show is so unpredictable that it’s hard to know who will make it and who will go!
