Tomorrow night’s X Factor see the judges constantly disagreeing on who has the X Factor and who doesn’t, with Cheryl even admitting that “I am starting to realise I am fighting a losing battle here”.

Some acts who get the judges hot under the collar with each other include:

14 year old school girl Melanie McCabe from Dublin, who Cheryl believes isn’t quite ready to progress in the competition despite Simon believing she is “100% ready” causing Cheryl to quip back to Simon “I don’t have to give her a shot because you are telling me I have too, I am going to make my own decision”.

Girl group Pure Elements (Sonia Herlingshaw, Rebecca Lindberg, Toni Lawton and Natalie Skillcorn all from Middlesborough) gets Cheryl and Louis quipping at each other after Louis says of the girls performances, “singing wasn’t great but that’s never stopped girl bands making it before”, “I thought you were the big band manager, I thought you knew it all” laughs Cheryl “but you know about girl groups Cheryl”, “that’s right Louis and you don’t” laughs Cheryl.

And Shelley Morefield, 29 from Exeter, also has Cheryl and Simon snipe at each other after her performance of Take Another Little Piece of My Heart. “gorgeous” declares Cheryl, but Simon’s doesn’t agree “it is everything I hate” “well If I was in a pub watching you I would stay and finish my drink” ,says Cheryl, “that’s hardly a compliment”.
