X Factor 2008: Just Back From The Press Launch
Well, don’t ever say the folks here at Unreality TV don’t do anything for you! In a bid to get the very latest X Factor gossip and spoliers we hightalied it all the way from Belfast to London today to attend the X Factor 2008 press launch.
The fact that we got to watch the first show two days before you commoners had nothing to do with our motivation of course. No, we are selfless reporters, trying to keep our readers in the loop!
We will be putting together a number of posts over the next twenty four hours, giving you some spolier and hints for acts to look out for on this weeks show. So check back for all the latest. However, we thought you might like our impressions of the celebs we saw today, up close and personal.
Cheryl Cole – Pretty but way too skinny.
Danni Minogue – Pretty gorgeous but a tad too plastic and stretched.
Louis Walsh – do I really need to go there?
Simon Cowell – Not conventionally handsome, but even more commanding and swoonful (I just made that word up) in real life.
Dermot O’Leary – Flippin gorgeous!!! We so would!
Lastly, the new Xtra Factor host, Holly Willoughby (or as Chris Moyles calls her ‘Willy Holloughby’). Much taller than I had imagined, I can see why Holly started off her career as a model. I think it would be fair to say that Holly was by far the most stunning woman in the room today, no mean feat when you consider that Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue and Mrs So Macho herself (Sinitta) were in attendance. Holly in real life is even more stunningly pretty and has the most amazing figure! In fact if Holly didn’t seem like such a lovely lady, we would have to really hate her.
I am going to go and write some more stuff now about the first show and the acts who appear, but first let me drop in a little titbit that might interest you all.
Us lowly press people were waiting in the private cinema type room for quite a while before the real guests of honour joined us. When they came in, the girl judges entered first and sat beside each other, though it has to be said I don’t think they exchanged so much as a word or glance during the whole event. When Mr Cowell entered the room he made Dermot and Holly “scooch up” so that he could sit between the girls. When the judges took to the stage, Mr Cowell once again diplomatically placed himself in the middle. Is this a sign that things are less than cordial between Dannii and Cheryl? Well Dannii certainly seemed uncomfortable when a journo asked her if there had been any catfights this year………. I suppose we’ll have to just wait and see!
