Forget fame and fortune, on tomorrow night’s X Factor show, Shirley Hough, 50 from Rugby reveals that she is only at the auditions for one thing… Louis Walsh.

“I’m here today to meet Louis Walsh” says Shirley. “When I think about Louis, I shudder and shake. I think when I meet him, they’ll be chemistry between us. I’m not keen on his hair but I’ll persuade him to have colour in it. If it’s a yes, I’ll be kissing him on the lips” Dermot kisses Shirley good luck and with a red rose in her hand, Shirley takes to the X.

Shirley: Whilst handing over the rose, Shirley says “I love you, Louis”

Simon: “Well that’s put a smile on his face”

Shirley: “I love him”

Simon: “Do you really?”

Shirley: “Yeah!”

Shirley dedicates her song, Hero by Mariah Carey to Louis. Not wanting to come between the lovebirds, Simon and Cheryl move their chairs out of the way.

Louis: “I think she did well. She’s got a great personality, she’s a very nice woman, she’s got very good taste”

Shirley: “Thank you Louis, I love you”

Cheryl: “I see the start of a beautiful relationship so I’m going to say yes”

Simon: “I’m going to say absolutely, categorically, no”

After all the attention Shirley has given Louis will he give her the Yes she so desperately craves, or will Louis phone number that Simon’s handed to her be enough to make her day? And it doesn’t take Shirley long to test out the number Simon has given her as Louis receives a call minutes after Shirley leaves the room….
