X Factor is due to hit our screens once more this Saturday night and judge Simon Cowell has revealed that he wants this years winner to have the potential to be an international star.

If this is what he wants from a champion, then I’m sure he was disappointed by last years winner, Leon Jackson. Jackson has the personality of a wet fish with an OK voice that would probably fare better in a local pub than on an international stage.

On who he is looking for on this years show Cowell said:

“Somebody who is going to be an international star.

I want someone who is going to represent this country all over the world over the next ten, twenty years – that’s what I’m looking for. I want somebody who is different and unique I want to find somebody as good as Amy Winehouse – I’d love to do that.”

Here’s hoping we fnd someone of that calibre in this years final and not someone with a good sob story who ultimately wins on the teenage and Scottish vote!
