X Factor 2008: Watch Out For…….Austin Drage

The X Factor judges have said that this year London was the best city for Auditionees, and that may have something to do with this auditionee, Austin Drage.
Austin is a 21 year old from Essex who wants to hit the big time. I’ll say this for him…..he definitely has more personality than Leon Jackson, so maybe he stands a chance.
After his rendition of End of the Road by Boyz 2 Men Dannii said “I don’t know what to say….great.” Cheryl added “I was shocked, you’ve got a really soulful voice, we haven’t heard the best of you yet and I’m really excited to see what could come.” Simon concluded “I like your passion, determination, this competition needs someone like you”

That guy is such a fake, he’s been on every second rate has been reality show there is. Now he’s sullying up my saturday night entertainment, not on. When will someone just tell him no, he’s so transparent –he’s had acting experience people. He was in Snatch with Brad Pitt, Casualty and The Bill -that’s why he can cry at the drop of a hat. Don’t vote for him they’re crocodile tears and he isn’t all that talented in comparison to some of the other solo singers they let through. He auditioned last year too, there is pictures of him play football and boot camp (shirtless of course.) However Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dani Miniogue failed to mention this. Further proof that they have the winners staked out from the get go.

I would like to reply to c cat on the comment made regarding Austin.
Austin is a good friend of mine and I can promise you that he is indeed an emotional guy,whom,like all the other X factor contestants has a dream and wants to fulfil it.
Saying that because he also has acted in certain programmes and a film in the past, makes it easy for him to fake cry is absolutley disguisting as this is not the case at all.
I will be supporting Austin every step of the way. Not because he is a friend of mine, but because he has a passion and a dream for music of which he is good at.

Thing is that he’s had a career already - so how does that mean he has the x factor if he’s already failed… several times, plus they’ve kicked groups out for having had a record contract previously!

He’s really good. I think he should win. It doesn’t matter if he’s had acting/singing experience before. Rhydian, from last year, had seven years of classical singing training, and he came second!!

Ok so xfactor , pop idol, american idol even bloody fame academy, yes they do/did hand pick their finalists from pre auditions etc we all know that, they edit the shows to steer us towards certain acts, obviously. HOWEVER if they have no talent, if they are all hype, if they are all tears and sobs stories with no genuine talent at the end of it. we don’t end up buying their album and they end up nowhere in the end anyway. Sooooooo why not stop screaming fix everytime a new xfactor starts and just enjoy the ride. I think Austin’s fab, he’s gonna give us a good show so yay for austin, i don’t give a crap if he’s been on every tv show going and had a deal before, what about that scott-lee bloke a few years ago, and rowetta, Thats just Xfactor end of!!!

OMG.
Will people stop judging him.
It doesnt matter if he’s had expierience, Leona Lewis had expierience.
Austin has a great voice, and i have liked him ever since his first audition.
I hope he gets through to the semi-final and maybe closer.
Austin, i love you, and i will vote for you now your in the live shows.
Please, ignore what other people are saying, aslong as hes got a great voice, then what is there to worry about?
Its his natural voice isnt it? He can sing without doubt.
So just shut up if youve got a problem, keep it to yourself.

‘What a farce’ - The two things are completely different.. How is a previous girl group on X Factor being signed whilst on the show, anything the same as Austin doing previous telly work :S
And if you know anything about trying to make it as an actor, dancer, singer etc, you’d know people try, try + try again and do EVERYTHING they think will get their name out there. Do you think 1/2 the famous singers out there just tried once, and one type of thing + then made it? No.. It takes years and years of detirmination + hard work..
My boyfriend has been trying since he was 16 years old.. Gig after gig, after telly interview, after radio interview, after gigs with celebs, after X factor/Britains got talent auditions.. and he’s still not made it yet.. But it’s what he loves + wants to do.. So he’ll keep doing it until he reaches a certain age + decides he’ll just have to settle that he’s not going to make it. He has an amazing voice + luckily for him Simon liked him + he got 3 yes’s, so now we just have to wait till Jan to find out anymore..
I believe Austin’s passion and tears are real.. At the end of the day, people are slating him + laughing at him for crying all the time.. So he’s obviousally not going to do it on purpose.. Simon even said he was unsure of putting him through to the finals as he came across desperate and he didn’t know whether he was strong enough.. So I’m sure he wouldn’t be putting on crocodile tears when it’s doing him no favours..
Austin has a good look and an amazing voice.. He sings with passion.. + that is why he is my favourite to win! I’m sure he’ll be signed (most probably by Simon) if he doesn’t win anyway.. Due to the fact Simon has already said he would of signed him if he’d of just walked into his office.

i really didnt like him in auditions and i thought he seemed fake and unrealistic
since the lives i abseloutely love him and i cannot believe he has been kicked out!!
i like daniel n ruth and people but its unfair they have now deprived austin of his place

i think x factor made a huge mistake booting austin drage off the x factor not only was he the hottest contestant but he was deffinatly the best singer by far i found clips of him on you tube from march 28th 2006 of him playing guitar and singing he is super he deserves a recording contract rachel hylton is the rubbishest i have ever heard listening to her is making my ear drums burst, louis walsh only voted austin off to get at simon, simon should give austin drage a recording contract he has a very good potential of making millions loads of girls in my school agree with me i am shocked off how mant people are behind me on this.
X FACTOR should change there decision somehow or simon should give austin drage a recording contract like i have siad many times
