A young man who suffers from Aspergers syndrome wowed the X Factor judging panel during a recent audition and will appear on the show this Sunday night.
21 year old Scott James has barely left his home for seven years because of his condition, but managed to gather the courage to sing in Manchester earlier this summer.
Dannii Minogue told The Independent magazine that Scott’s performance of You Raise Me Up left the judges speechless.
“He came on stage and he was very particular about explaining his condition,” she said.
“He told us that because of his Asperger’s syndrome and the fact that he’d been picked on, he hadn’t left the house in seven years.
“But he just stood there calmly and told us his singing teacher had been helping him build his confidence. Then he started singing. You will not believe his performance when you see it.”
Simon Cowell even followed Scott out after the audition and congratulated him and his vocal coach.
Scott has since made it through to X Factor bootcamp where he impressed with renditions of Katy Perry’s Hot ‘n’ Cold and There You’ll Be by Faith Hill.

………..well that didnt happen
Scott has one of the most magnificent voices that the world needs to hear. His voice brings out emotions to those who hear him. He must go ahead with his talent. His voice is him and we need to know him. He can try again next year or even on Britain’s Got Talent. he needs to be out there so that we the audience will have the honour of hearing him. I have never looked upon him with a condition that everyone seems to want to talk about. He has come into his own and is wonderful.
