Dannii Minogue seems to be throwing her weight behind the girls category on this years X Factor series.

The new season of the show kicks off this Saturday and Dannii seems to think that the girls have the edge over all other categories.

Minogue told The Sun: “It takes a lot of guts to get up there and the more they show me who they are and let me into their world, I am hooked.

“Every category has strong contenders, but I feel passionate about the girls. I believe some stand out performances are about to happen.”

On how the judges are working together this year Dannii commented: “This year I feel we have all had our own strong opinions.

“We have each pleaded for another judge to say a ‘Yes’ so we can get someone through that we believe in. Hopefully this way, no talent has been left behind.”
