X Factor 2009: Joe McElderry to win?
We were a bit worried that The X Factor would be a little dull tonight after the departure of the highly irritating but seriously energetic Jedward. However the Take That / EJ themed show had us on the edge of our seats.
People we expected to be great weren’t – Dannii really needs to look at Stacey’s songs for next week if she gets through – and people who we expected to be rubbish actually improved. Well when we say improved, Lloyd was still distinctly mediocre but that’s a step up in our eyes.
The one singer who really stood out though was without doubt, Joe McElderry. Ballad or energetic dance type song, he can sing them all. He can croon or he can do a big routine. He didn’t need an overwhelming backing track (Olly!) or a whole lot of fake sincerity (Danyl!).
Unreality TV think that Joe has something none of the others do……could it be The X Factor?
