X Factor judge Louis Walsh has said that Aspergers sufferer Scott James won’t cope with the pressure of being on the show.

21 year old James reportedly wowed the X Factor judges with ‘You Raise Me Up’ at a recent audition and made it through to the final 50 singers at bootcamp. It is as yet unclear whether or not Scott has made it through to the final 12 acts.

When he was asked if someone like James could cope with the pressure of fame, Walsh told the Radio Times: “I don’t think they can, if I’m honest. People don’t realise the pressure that these acts are under, especially when they’re competing with everybody else backstage.

“It’s a very difficult show to do, even as a judge. It’s very gruelling, and it’s ten weeks of very intense performance. Everything you say and do is being watched. It’s like Big Brother meets Jerry Springer.”
