X Factor 2009, Week 7 – The Unreality TV Chart, Wham Week
Well, I don’t think this was the best week really; nobody truly and utterly stunned me, except Olly who could stun me just by reading out his laundry list.
That said, Danyl did do a fabulous job of Careless Whisper, even if the start was a bit uncertain, he soon picked up the singing ball and ran with it.
I did think it was a bit of a downer that George Michael wasn’t there and didn’t mentor anyone, however, that’s not really anything to do with our chart. So, moving swiftly on, here’s our run down of this week’s performances….
1. Danyl Johnson – He really did give it some welly once he got into his stride and he is an awesome singer. No matter how vile the press about him is, nobody can take that away from him.
2. Olly Murs – It was a close call whether he should be one or two, and if my ovaries had a say, he’d have been at number one, but – as are all women – I’m being rational and thinking logically.
3. Stacey Solomon – She always does a beautiful job of anything she sings, but, as I pointed out in the liveblog, I don’t like If I Can’t Make You Love Me, but that said, I’d buy her version before I bought George’s
4. Joe McElderry – He always does do a good job of the songs to be fair, but he’s lacking personality for me. However, there’s no denying he’s got a great singing voice, so he’s our number 4 choice this week.
5. Lloyd Daniels – His rendition of Faith started off more wobbly than a one legged window cleaner on a bike with ladders over his shoulder. And I didn’t think it improved terribly much as it went on. It wasn’t horrific but it wasn’t especially noteworthy either.
6. John and Edward Grimes – Well no shock that Jedward are last and most definitely least this week. They are most weeks. As I said in the liveblog, they’re nice lads but they need to be in Butlins or something, not X Factor.

Lloyd is a walking crime against music and unlike Jedward he does not have the ability to redeem himself via an entertaining performance.
Wrong. Totally disagree. Llold was great and gets better every week. I bet you cant sing like him
Couldn’t disagree more. Think I’d put it in the opposite direction. Danyl was horrible, flat everywhere, and Joe was the best of the night. But eh, to each his own.
I think this week was Lloyds strongest week. He improvese every week and is the only contestant that hasn’t had any proper vocal training. He is only 16 so his voice has had the least amount of time to develop but I think he was awsome ans with a little more training could be amazing.
And he is absolutely gorgeous but that isn’t the only reason I voted 12 times and got my whole family and all of my friends to vote more than once. Hope he stays in love you Lloyd xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Also Cheryl has been treating Joe better than Lloyd. She said Joe is the strongest male vocalist. What about Lloyd?
Yeah have to disagree too!!! I’m not a Joe fan either but he was by far the best of the night. Danyl was very shouty and I generally like them. Very poor week overall. Diffcult to no who’s in the bottom two. Hopefully Llyod and Jedward.

Joe was definitely the best of the night!
I love Joe and thought he was absolutely AMAZING tonight! But I would love for him to do an upbeat song eventually…His actual performances are becoming boring. But luckily for him his vocals outshone the boringness of it tonight.
NO jedward were not OTT. they have fun and im sad to see them go. Theyve have so much bad press which is totally not their fault. i hate it when people are so harsh. you wouldnt like it x

3) Olly – Really good performance just below top two
4) Lloyd – Poor performance but better than the
bottom two
5) Danyl – Bad performance/shouty and out of tune
6) J & E – As ridiculous and OTT as usual
Since Jamie Archer got knocked out its boring. Danyl grates, Lloyd and Jedward can’t sing, Olly is irritating, Joe is a good singer but without a strong personality. Stacey is the only one worth watching.
I think they (including Cowell) wanted J Archer out because his personality overshadowed the others, hence giving him rubbish songs most of the time. 2 very good singers also removed, probably because they figure they will make more money from some of the others. I missed the live show tonight, caught the replay, but I am not sure can be bothered with the rest of it.
Tottaly agree. Without Jamie is sooooooooo boring.
I just think that Danyl and Lloyd are worried about the story coming out about them being together. Hes nly 16.
Seriously! Hand it to Joe — He’s not a big personality but I enjoy his voice more than any other contestant.
Rating him 4th?!

1) Joe – Good vocals but dull performance
2) Danyl – Started weak but finished a good stripped down version.
3) J & E – Entertaining as usual but vocals weak as usual.
4) Stacey – Pitchy performance combined with a bad choice of song.
5) Olly – Disappointing, as he was out of tune the entire song and the use of the same dance moves week after week has become tiresome.
6) Lloyd – A walking crime against music plus an inability to perform.
i definitely agree, joe’s got the voice, no doubt, but his performances lack something, thats because of his lack of personality and his body language i think.
if theres fairness left in the show after Rachel Adedeji leaving, Olly , Stacey and Danyl should be finalists all the wayyyyyy
Lloyd- really good, much improved, like his new haircut
Joe- Ok, slightly boring, not as good as last week
Stacey- Good, i preferred last week though.
Olly- Boring, average, very overrated
Danyl- yawn, really boring
John and Edward- ridiculous, rapping out of time, singing out of tune.
Bottom two should be John and Edward and Danyl
why is everyone saying joe is boring? he isnt at all
he just doesnt get any publicity so people kind of forget about him, in my opinion him stacey and olly have the best voices and deserve to be in the final =]

1.Joe 2.Stacey 3.Jedward 4.Ollie 5.Danyl 6.Lloyd!!!!!!! think it’s unfair that ollie and danyl get no.s 1 and 2 wen joe wuz clearly the best last night. it’s about performing and ollie wuz out of tune 4 most of his performance.danyl wuz ok but joe, stacey and even JEdward were better!!!(in my oppinion)
I disagree .. i think that Lloyd was amzing last night and one of his best and i think he has the most potential to improve. I think John and edward are in trouble this week because danyl was quite bad and john and edward are just getting boring now because it is the same everyweek with them … loads of dancers, rap songs, bad hair and bad singing.

John and Edward are getting boring now, at first it was fun, but it’s the same every week, no matter what song. Lious says Lloyd isn’t very good, but he has john and edward.
Danyl was very weak this week and after his tantrum about song choice, he should have nailed it. It was yet again very shouty and that doesn’t fit the lyrics at all I was wincing for the first minute!
i tought Lloyd was amazing,he is improving so much every week,luv his new hair cut,im a fan of Ollys but he could have done soo much better last night,Joe was brilliant last night,performance of the night for me,,Jedward are getting really boring now,liked them at first but its the same thing every week,bottom two should be Jedward & Danyl,,hope Lloyd dont go
