X Factor 2010: American Anthem songlist revealed!

This week’s X Factor theme was confirmed by Yvie Burnett on yesterday’s F Factor episode. On Saturday night the contestants will be singing ‘American Anthems.’

It’s another wide theme, meaning that the judges can choose almost any song, from any genre of music. Many viewers have been criticising the vague guidelines each week, however we think it works well with singers as diverse as Treyc Cohen, Wagner Carillho and Cher Lloyd.

Check out the songlist below. This will be updated and added to as more information comes in.

Wagner Carillho: Elvis Presley…..Viva Las Vegas – Louis Walsh was on TV3 this evening and admitted that he wants Wagner to perform in an sparkly Elvis jumpsuit! Tweeting about his song choice today Wagner said:

Elvis is back with a moustache and a foreign accent!

One Direction: No Boundaries Kids In America by Kim Wilde – In a radio interview with Scott Mills, Simon Cowell confirmed that the boy’s song had been changed in the middle of the week.

Aiden Grimshaw: ‘Nothing Compares To You’ by Prince.

Rebecca Ferguson: Make You Feel My Love by Bob Dylan

Treyc Cohen: I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith. Teasing her song choice on the show’s official website, she said:

“The artist who sings it has a big mouth.”

Steve Tyler it is!

Mary Byrne: ‘There You’ll Be’ from the American war movie ‘Pearl Harbour.’ Mary revealed her song choice earlier this week in an interview with RTE radio. Speaking on the F Factor she later added:

“I’m a bit nervous about remembering those high notes and getting to them.”

Matt Cardle: First Time Ever I Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack

Katie Waissel – ‘Don’t Speak’ by No Doubt

Cher Lloyd – Empire State of Mind by JayZ & Alicia Keys

Paije Richardson
– Mash up of The Monkees I’m A Believer and Hey Ya! by Outkast
